Instructors have been certified through USHPA's instructor training program and must meet recertification requirements every three years.

PASA Schools have been certified by the Professional Air Sports Association (PASA) and are a collection of USHPA-certified instructors that have met additional safety requirements and hold supplementary insurance.

Non-PASA Schools have not been certified by PASA, but are staffed by USHPA certified instructors.
