USHPA Training & Certification Manager
Description
The USHPA Training & Certification Manager will collaborate with the Program Manager, Training & Certification committee, as well as instructors and pilots around the country to further develop and modernize USHPA’s pilot training programs. They will create content themselves, as well as seek and incorporate materials from other instructors. The Training & Certification Manager will also work with instructors and administrators on any potential complaints or issues regarding instructional practices. They will also work with the USHPA staff and vendors to incorporate the training materials and programs into USHPA’s infrastructure, including GliderTraining.org.
The Training & Certification Manager reports to the USHPA Executive Director and Program Manager, with a dotted reporting line to USHPA’s Training and Certification Committee chairperson.
Compensation
This is a part time (roughly 20 hours per week on average) salaried contract position. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience. Salary range is $25-30K.
Required Skills
- Must be a current USHPA Instructor or the equivalent if from outside the USA.
- A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others on projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be an active hang glider or paraglider pilot.
