I learned to fly on the sand dunes of Marina Beach on the central coast of California in 1991. Since then hang gliding has pretty much consumed my entire life. I have competed in the US and abroad and organized national level competitions each year here in the US. I’ve also served as a director at large with the USHPA for quite a few years and as the US delegate to the CIVL for the past nine years. I also regularly serve as an FAI steward and jury member at hang gliding and paragliding world and continental events all over the globe. When I’m not involved with hang gliding and paragliding, I practice intellectual property law assisting small and medium-sized companies primarily with trademark and copyright matters.
