I started flying in Chile in 1979, and moved to Northeast Ohio, in 1981. While going to college I worked at CGS aircraft building hang glider frames in Cleveland, and later worked at North Coast Hang Gliders as an instructor apprentice with Mike Delsignore. For years I crisscrossed the country flying any site I could find from California to Maine. Living in the flat lands, it was not long before I started to develop and to run towing operations. Initially my focus was on surface towing, and eventually my interests evolved to include weight-shift controlled aircraft. I have been involved in establishing and running several non-profit towing operations, and some of these still operate after almost twenty years. I joined the Board in 2001 as a Regional Director, and have served one term as Treasurer and two terms as Vice President. For a couple of years now I have had the privilege of chairing the Towing Committee and to help develop the AIRS system. I hope to continue my involvement in the Board since it is my way to say thank you to a community that has been a very significant part of my life.
